It is a matter of great pride to share with you that KEMCAANA held
a very successful 5th annual retreat on March 19 to 21. The great
attendance and the active involvement by alumni from graduates of
1960's to the most recent bode well for our organization.
The active participation in the strategic session by members led to
the formation of three think tank groups. One of these groups will
conduct deliberations on KEMCAANA’s institution-building, while
the other two groups will come up with recommendations on priority
project lists for the United States and for Pakistan.
The current successful initiatives, including the scholarship program
and access to information through the internet and computer libraries,
were felt to be prized projects. These projects are supporting the
financial needs of deserving students and bring state of the art information
of medical literature to the desks of our students. These endeavors
along with curriculum reform project will help elevate the standard
of education at KEMU to the expected level of excellence of today's
physician.
